Like your typical young couple my husband and I had a vision of where life would take us in the coming years. We wanted to have stable jobs, marry, buy a house and have children. Preferably one right after in a sooner than later fashion. We did not intend for it to be very stressful. But man did life had other plans for us and if one thing it taught us we can plan until our hearts content but that doesn't mean it'll happen that way. Lesson learned life, lesson learned.
After 4 years of trying and 4 losses are beyond blessed to now have a beautiful little girl who adds to the love and devotion my husband and I began building 5 years ago. Being a mother is truly a dream come true. It was something my husband and I had to seriously consider never getting to experience. So this is truly such a blessing for us. It was something I dreamed about like unicorns and wizards, having a baby of our own ranked among those fictional characters. To have this be a reality is (record player is on repeat) amazing. So if it seems like I'm a little to infatuated with my daughter, it's because I am ;)
This new territory for me has already brought so many learning experiences both good and bad. Follow as we grow as a family, as I grow as a mother, and as my daughter continues to bud into a beautiful little girl.
I love photography, sewing, crocheting, skating, playing hockey and all things DIY. I like challenging myself and my husband to try and make things ourselves. I'll have 10 unfinished projects going on at once. I'm the friend who will give you her honest and rather blunt opinion, even if that means it may get me into trouble. Sometimes an asset, other times a curse. I'm a loyal friend, a patient mother (Don't ask me where it came from) and would give you the shirt of my back if you ever required it.
Some postings will be funny others will have a serious tone. A lot of the times they'll be long (like this intro!)
Thank you for stopping by and taking a glimpse into our lives. I hope you'll take pleasure in it's candid nature, honest opinions and creative crafts.
